Health and Safety

Sawren Construction is committed to achieving excellence in the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment for all our employees and any person under our supervision, as well as the environment and community at large.

To assist us in achieving our goal of continual health and safety excellence, we have developed a system which meets the requirements of the OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

Our Occupational Safety, Health and Environmental Management System is central to our company’s operations and business philosophy and is directed towards reinforcing the principle of a safe working environment for all persons, property, environment and community.

Sawren Construction also ensures the competency of its staff through continual training and ensures that all employees are aware of their respective responsibilities.

We also continually assess our performance by measuring, monitoring and evaluating the compliance of all functions within the company.

ORHVS – Operating regulations for high voltage systems

Sawren Construction has 3 fully trained supervisors who are responsible for supervision on works carried out in High Voltage yard i.e. refurbishment works in Eskom Substations etc.

Environmental

Sawren Construction acts on its responsibility to ensure that all employees are made aware of the importance of the practical application of the environmental policy, particularly on our construction sites.

The company endeavours to:
